We started as a small practice and have grown into a state-of-the-art facility, offering a wide range of dental services. Meet the Team
Chief Dentist
Dr Mary Soo Wai Kuan
BDS(Malaya) , MDSc (Malaya)
Dr Soo graduated with Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the University of Malaya in 1995. She pursued the Master of Dental Science (MDSc) in 2002, where she was awarded the Biasiswazah Scholarship from the same university. She also completed the International Program in Endodontics, at School of Dental Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia, USA.
She has been in general private practice for more than twenty years. Being the sole proprietor of Soo Dental Surgery, she maintains this private practice since 2005. She is highly experienced in the field of endodontics (root canal treatment). Dr Soo manages moderate to complex root canal cases which are referred by dental colleagues from all around Malaysia. Dr Soo was a clinical lecturer in the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. She has lectured and conducted hands-on workshops in endodontics and published scientific articles locally and internationally. She was the Vice-President of the Malaysian Endodontic Society.

Dr Darren Yap Yoke Yong

Dr Yap is the visiting oral surgeon at Soo Dental Surgery. He graduated with Bachelor of Dental Surgery from University of Malaya in 1992 and continued to pursue the Master of Science (Oral Surgery) at Manchester, United Kingdom in 1994. Dr Yap maintains a private practice, Yap Dental Specialist Clinic, at Bandar Sunway, PJ. He has a vast experience in oral surgery and implant dentistry, where he started placing dental implants in 1994. Dr Yap also teaches part time at the International Medical University (IMU).

Dr Sarene Saw
B.D.S. (UK), M.Sc. Endodontics (UK)
Dr. Sarene Saw received Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Queen Mary, University of London in 2011. She worked in both hospital and private settings in the United Kingdom and Singapore before pursuing further studies in Endodontics. Dr.Sarene received Master of Science in Endodontics from the University College London, Eastman Dental Institute in 2018. Her main interest is in clinical diagnosis and management of endodontic patients. She currently lectures at Universiti Teknologi MARA and works at Soo Dental Surgery, with practice limited to endodontics. She was also the President of the Malaysian Endodontic Society from 2021-2023.

Dr Ho Shi Ying
BDS (IMU)
She is highly motivated and passionate general dental practitioner with more than 5 years of experiences in providing high quality patient care. Following her graduation, she served three years in government dental clinic, with opportunity to further develop her skills through attachment in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery and Pediatrics departments in Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah, Alor Setar. She then join private sector. She believes dentistry is a lifelong learning journey and has special interests in general dentistry, endodontics and minor oral surgery of impacted wisdom teeth.

Nur Ain Binti Juhari
Ain joined Soo Dental Surgery in 2018. She has a cheerful and friendly personality and greets you at our front desk with a big smile and she goes out of her way to make you feel special.

Sri Banun Binti Abdul Malek
Banun joined Soo Dental Surgery since 2008 as a dental assistant. Inspired by her father, who is a senior dental assistant at the Faculty of Dentisry, University of Malaya, she is passionate about dentistry since her teenage years. With fifteen years of experience in dental assisting, Banun is highly trained and dedicated.

Norazizah Binti Rohani
Azizah joined Soo Dental Surgery since 2017. With a Diploma in Nursing, Azizah found her passion in dentistry. With her gentle and dedicated manner, equipped with highly trained skills, you will feel at ease the moment you enter our dental practice.
